Despite setting the screen angle and ruling for the artwork in file, it gets changed after ripping. How to check the actual angle and ruling of the ripped file?

Esko has pre-calculated algorithm which is used when the files are ripped to avoid Moire. The Angle and Ruling are altered slightly based on the algorithm. The actual ruling and angle information was available in the log file of the task when FlexRIP was used. This information no longer available in the task in Imaging Engine but will be available in the XMP of the ripped file.

  1. Select the screened file in Automation Engine Pilot.
  2. Click the i button or CTRL+i on Windows or CMD+i on Mac.
  3. The actual screening and angle information used in the file will be available under the Screens and DGC tab.
