Summary

RGB channels of TIFF images change to black when placed in i-cut Layout.

Symptoms

  1. Create a new layout in i-cut Layout.
  2. Place a .tiff file.
  3. Check the inks R, G, and B and all show as black. This affects the color of the file when production files are made.
  4. Export to production files and the RGB inks in the Print PDF are all now black and not have their original values. The spot ink is correct.

What is a Hotfix?

A Hotfix is a software package that you can install on an existing installation of our software. Each hotfix contains fixes for one or more known issues in our released software.

Because there is always a small chance for a hotfix to cause new issues, you should only install Recommended Hotfixes, unless otherwise instructed by your Esko Software Support team.
