KB224987214: ArtiosCAD - When you do an Open or Save as, the browser does not appear and ArtiosCAD shuts down

Summary

When you perform Open or Save as in ArtiosCAD, the browser never appears and ArtiosCAD shuts down.

Symptoms

Issue seems to occur in Windows 10 systems and the Hide the dropdown list of recent files policy has been turned on.

Solution

There's currently no solution as it is under investigation by R&D. Could be resolved in a future release of ArtiosCAD.

Workaround

The current workaround is to not enable the Windows 10 policy Hide the dropdown list of recent files. ArtiosCAD will function as normal.

An incorrect modification of values and parameters in the ArtiosCAD Defaults can cause critical problems that might lead to severe problems in the correct functioning of the program. Esko cannot guarantee the proper working of your ArtiosCAD installation due to an incorrect handling of parameters and settings. A reinstall might be mandatory in order to restore the original system state. For this reason, Esko recommends that you take regular backups of the ServerLib (Shared Defaults) folder, the database and the FileStore.
