Question

Which measurement conditions (ISO 13655) are supported and can be used when doing a verification with Pack Proof?

Answer

Offline verification - Using the 2nd generation i1Pro2 / i1iO2

Verification of a job submitted via the Proof for Contract Approval ticket using either i1Pro2 or i1iO2 is done using the M0 measurement condition. In the current version (v18.1), it's not possible to specify another measurement condition via the Proof for Contract Approval ticket.

However, you can overrule the measurement condition manually via the Preferences of the Esko Verification tool:

  1. Submit the job via the Proof for Contract Approval ticket.
  2. Open the Verification tool.
  3. Go to File > Preferences and select the correct measurement device.
  4. Under Measurement conditions:, select the desired measurement condition.

  5. Select ANY strip for the "Chart or wedge selection" option (it really doesn't matter which one you select...).
  6. Click the OK button and close the Preferences window.
  7. Double click the job in the Job list to start the verification process.

    Measurement condition preferences

The measurement condition remains active. Don't forget to change it back if you need another measurement condition!

Inline verification - Using the Epson SpectroProofer ILS30

Verification of a job submitted via the Proof for Contract Approval ticket when using the Epson SpectroProofer (X-rite ILS30) is done using the measurement condition as specified in the output device (Special pane):

The default "device mode" (=measurement condition) is set to M1
