When running an Imaging Engine task, in some cases a temporary hidden folder called tmpPdf is created. This happens in case of a normalized PDF with external references (makes a 'fat' PDF) or when adding a SmartMark in the Imaging Engine task (a tmpPdf is created with the SmartMark included). This 'tmpPdf' folder is hidden, hence the tmpPdf folder can be seen in the container when enabling the option Show hidden files, folders and drives in Folder Options.
These tmpPdf will stay there, until the task is being removed. If you want to delete these tmpPdf's within your workflow after the job is being RIP'ed, then please follow below procedure.
The tmpPdf folder is always written as a subfolder of the Job. The tmpPdf files are written with this naming convention:
We created a workflow with two Imaging Engine tasks (one Screened and one UnScreened). Once the job is RIP'ed we delete the tmpPdf files.
Add ticket "Modify Workflow Parameter Values" task in the workflow before the Imaging Engine task (e.g., Image to Screened Separations) and double click to open it.
Click the "+" button to add a new parameter.
In the Workflow Parameter field give a name for the new parameter.
In the New Value field, click "" to add a new value.
Go to the Workflow Context category and choose SmartName "File".
Adding the "Data Collector" makes sure that all RIP'ing is done before any tmp files are deleted.
