(com.eskographics.bitmapview.client.ScopePilotViewer$scopeViewerInstance)

Solution

Since version 20, the Automation Engine Viewer is using port 18560 to connect to the Automation Engine Server.

If the Viewer is working on the Automation Engine server computer, problem is caused by firewall/proxy blocking the port 18560.

  1. Check the connection to the Automation Engine server.
  2. In the workstation's browser, type:

      http://aeserver:18560/viewserver_client/

Where aeserver is the computer name of the Automation Engine server.

If this fails with this message:

This site can’t be reached

aeserver refused to connect.

Port 18560 should be set accessible to the Automation Engine server.

The TCP and HTTP ports that are used by default by the Automation Engine software are listed in Automation Engine’s ‘Complete Manual’.
