Summary

Workspaces Viewer: When configured to view PDF files as in ArtPro+, files may remain locked even when quitting the Viewer.

Pilot Viewer: When comparing PDF files, hidden & non-printing layers may incorrectly be compared as well. When configured to view PDF files as in ArtPro+, files may remain locked even when quitting the Viewer.

Symptoms

  • CS01437440: When configured to view PDF files as in ArtPro+, files may remain locked even when quitting the Viewer in My Workspace or Roll Fed Labels Workspace.
  • CS01561403: When comparing PDF files in the Pilot Viewer, hidden & non-printing layers of the reference file may become visible, causing differences to be indicated that are not relevant for the comparison.
  • CS01564811: When configured to view PDF files as in ArtPro+, files may remain locked even when quitting the Pilot Viewer.
  • The file locking issues with both the Workspaces and Pilot Viewer may cause subsequent workflow tasks that want to overwrite the file to fail.
  • They may also lead to running into concurrent viewing limits sooner than expected (resulting in messages such as "maximum number of viewing sessions reached").
