PDF file does not rip and gives error due to Out of memory problem.


If the one-up file is a big file which needs more memory in the Rip, the memory gets multiplied the number of times the file is repeated in the form. Hence the Out of memory error appears in the Rip.


Open the PDF file as PDFN in PackEdge, save and then rip the file. You might need to set a filter in PackEdge preferences for the Open PDFSC as PDFN option to appear on the File > Open dialog.

To set the filter, do the following:

  1. In the PackEdge, go to Edit > Preferences > Files.
  2. Click the Modify button in the To add or remove File Filters in Open, Place and Export dialog boxes, click Modify section.
  3. This opens the File Filters dialog box. In the Select File Filters for: drop down menu, select the Open File option and select the PDFSC as PDFN check box.
  4. Click the OK button.

To open the file as PDFN, do the following:

  1. In the PackEdge, go to File > Open.
  2. Select the file in the File name: drop down menu.
  3. Choose the PDFSC as PDFN option in the Files of type: drop down menu.

  4. Click the Open button.
