KB73059562: WebCenter - Ajax time out error when working with attributes

Summary

The following error message appears when working with attributes in WebCenter: "Error loading attribute category Server status: Ajax call timed out after 30000miliseconds".

Symptoms

When working with attributes, you get the error message "Error loading attribute category Server status: Ajax call timed out after 30000miliseconds" and your attribute category or attribute values are not loaded correctly. 

Solution

This error appears when the Attribute Category or one of its parts could not be loaded in 30 seconds. 

Possible causes for the Attribute Category not loading in 30 seconds are:

• The system is not reachable anymore (system down). Other functions of WebCenter will also not work any longer.
• Your connection to the system is slow. Retry on a faster line.
• The system is (temporarily) very slow.
• You have a very big Attribute Category and the system is slow.
