KB76721772: Automation Engine - Error when opening Pilot

Summary

When opening Pilot, you get an error and cannot process any files.

Symptoms

Application server is running. When you check the JBOSS log at drive:\Esko\bg_prog_appsrv_v040\jboss\server\default\log, the following error appears:

"Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor".

The Connection descriptor used by the client was: dbservername:1521:JBOSS (dbservername represents the name of the Oracle database server).

Solution

This indicates a problem with the Application Server database in Oracle. This will need to be solved by the customer's Oracle database manager.
