Summary

The Automation Engine Server is not running. In the Server Admin Web Tool, the status of the Automation Engine Server is shown as "No license". However, the flexlm.log file shows the appropriate licenses are checked in and checked out.

Symptoms

  • In the Server Admin Web Tool, the status of the Automation Engine Server is shown as "No license".
  • When trying to login to the Automation Engine Pilot, the following error message is shown: "The system could not log you on. Please verify whether Automation Engine is up and running".
  • When trying to activate the Automation Engine Server to solve the problem, "Permission denied" error occurs.
  • The flexlm.log file shows the appropriate licenses are checked in and checked out.

Solution

The System Controller is corrupt.

Uninstall and reinstall it to solve the problem.
