Summary

You have three different files with the same overprinting PANTONE colors assigned to them. When you print one file, you get the desired results. But when you print the other two, you get different unacceptable results.

Solution

The first spot color in the ink order needs to be a profiled ink in order for Color Management to be applied properly when proofing.

The standard PANTONE colors in the Esko color database are profiled inks. You can create your own profiled inks using Color Engine Pilot. For more information about what profiled inks are and how to create them, please consult the Color Engine Pilot User Guide on our website.
