Summary

Color Engine books and colors cannot be used in ArtPro.

Symptoms

Color Engine books cannot be loaded despite connection to the server. No symbol in the separations pallet to indicate Color Engine colors are being used.
A warning appears on start-up that certain colors are not recognized by ArtPro colorbooks.

Solution

Perform the following check:,

  1. Go to ArtPro > Preferences.
  2. Make sure you have a license to use CMS connection to the server.
  3. In the General tab, click Licenses and check if the CMS connect license is retrieved from the server. If needed fill out the licenseserver and relaunch ArtPro.
  4. Go to the Server tab and ensure that a connection to the Automaiton Engine Server is possible.
  5. Go to the Color tab and check if the Load color Engine Ink Books option is checked. Select Load Color Engine Ink Books From "Automation Engine".
