KB81494389: PackEdge - Decimal values are ignored for Ruling and Angle fields in Inks dialog

Summary

In the Inks dialog, the decimal values added to the fields such as Ruling, Angle are not kept.

Symptoms

When you add a number containing decimal values in fields like Ruling, Angle in the Inks dialog, the decimals are not kept.

It can also happen that you see them after you press ENTER, but as soon as you move the window, they are gone.

Solution

The cause seems to be the Regional Settings of the computer. For example in Italian or Spanish Operating Systems, the default value for "Decimal symbol" and "Digit grouping symbol" are inverted compared to the English Operating System.

1. Open the Control Panel and select Region and Language.
2. On the Format tab click Additional Settings.

3. In the tab Numbers, correct as following:

   Decimal symbol: .
   Digit grouping symbol: ,
