The menu Database > Information and Database > Browsers > Designs, Manufacturing, Projects is greyed out.
Symptoms
The menu Database > Information and Database > Browsers > Designs, Manufacturing, Projects is greyed out.
The ODBC connection is successful (can be tested with user programmer).
File > Design > New: The Board list is still displayed/ accessible.
Solution
Probably, the database connection has been disabled.
Check this via Options > Defaults > Shared Defaults > Design Defaults > Database:
Check the Enable Database checkbox and save the defaults.
User Defaults take priority above Shared Defaults. In case of a client-server configuration, check if the same option is present in the User Defaults. For example, if you want to disable the database connection on one particular work station, only disable the option in the User Defaults, not in the Shared Defaults, in order to not influence the other work stations.
If the Design Defaults' folder is not present in User Defaults yet and you want it, just drag and drop the folder from Shared Defaults to User Defaults.
The same principle is applicable for all defaults in ArtiosCAD.
