KB83170238: ArtiosCAD - Installation causes computer to crash with Blue Screen error

Summary

Run the ArtiosCAD installation on a computer. Installation gets to "Publishing Product Information" and then the computer crashes with the Blue Screen error: 

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Symptoms

Once in this state the system will not boot, but will always cause the same Blue Screen. Only a System Repair to the restore point before the installation will bring the system back.

This was noticed in the field on an HP Z420 system using UEFI boot mode and a Solid State Hard Drive.

Solution

If you encounter this problem, the only way around it is to rebuild the system using legacy BIOS mode instead of UEFI.
