KB83183741: ArtiosCAD - Installation fails on a Parallels based system

Summary

When installing ArtiosCAD on a Apple computer using Parallels Virtualization software, ArtiosCAD installation fails on a standalone or standard client system selection with an error "Unable to locate configuration server".

Solution

1. Click the Back button during the installation.
2. Choose Advanced instead of Typical.
3. Move forward to the system type selection, choose Advanced client/server option. A path for the configuration server will be shown and has be to verified by clicking OK. Using Parallels software to emulate a Windows operating system (in the Apple operating system) does not resolve hostnames properly. Only a directory path can be used to locate the "Configuration Server".
