KB87198199: Hotfix 1204067 for Automation Engine 12.1.1

Summary

Normalized PDF files generated by ArtPro that use a (CMS) registered spot color inside a softmask might cause inconsistent opacity results when processed further as compared to the original ArtPro PDF.

Export to PDF File: When the task is set up to rasterize with anti-aliasing, images might be too low in resolution in the output.

Symptoms

When classic PDF processing (for example: by the Automation Engine Viewer, the FlexRip or tasks based on the BRIX graphic kernel) is applied on normalized PDF files generated by ArtPro that use a spot color that is registered with the Esko Color Management System (CMS) and is used inside a softmak, the opacity in that area may unexpectedly differ in the result as compared to the original ArtPro PDF.

When the Export to PDF File task is set up to rasterize with anti-aliasing (by enabling the Output as image and Anti-aliasing options in the Rasterize tab), images might be too low in resolution in the output.

Different ink density percentages are shown in Adobe^® Acrobat^®, for example, as compared to the Automation Engine Viewer or output of the FlexRip.
