Summary

When logging in to the ArtiosCAD Enterprise client, after logon, even if you had not selected Work offline, the following pop-up appears:

 

ArtiosCAD has detected that your network connection is lost.

Do you wish to go Offline?

 

Symptoms

  • When logging in to the ArtiosCAD Enterprise client, after logon, a pop-up appears:

    ArtiosCAD has detected that your network connection is lost.
    Do you wish to go Offline?
  • When choosing one of the No options, you are still working Online after logging in, so, there is no real problem, it is just the message that appears.

Solution

This will be fixed in ArtiosCAD Enterprise 14.

Workaround

The message is caused by a backslash (\) in the WebCenter URL:

http://mywebcentername\WebCenter_Inst

Should be:

http://mywebcentername/WebCenter_Inst

When you do use a backslash in the WebCenter URL directly via a web browser, the web browser converts it automatically to the regular slash (\) and doesn't cause any message or problem.

From ArtiosCAD Enterprise version 14 onwards, the client will be able to handle both \ and /.
