Procedure

Troubleshooting the WebCenter Java Viewer

Checking System Requirements

First of all, make sure you are using a supported browser and your hardware meets the System Requirements.
Consult the following articles to rule out a compatibility issue with your OS, browser or Java version:

Verifying Jboss Settings

In some cases there may be an incorrect path to the FileStore in the ImageList.INI file. To verify this:
  1. On the Application Server, go to C:\Esko\Artios\WebCenter\ApplicationServer\Jboss\bin\native.
  2. Open the file ImageList.INI.
  3. You should see something like this:

    HighResPath=\\EAW11DL367\FileStore\views\
    WebRootPath=\\EAW11DL367\FileStore\
    CadPath=\\EAW11DL367\FileStore\views\
  4. Verify that the paths here are correct.

If the paths do not reflect the correct path to the FileStore, you will need to reinstall the WebCenter Application Server, this time pointing to the right FileStore location using a UNC path.

If the problem persists:
  1. Check the ImageList.log file for more information located in ..\Esko\Artios\WebCenter\ApplicationServer\Jboss\bin\native.
  2. Check the JNDI.properties file located in ..\Artios\WebServer\tomcat\webapps\ViewServer\WEB-INF\classes.
  3. Verify if the WebCenter Application Server name is correct.

If the information in the configuration files is not correct, reinstall WebCenter using the correct Server names, Database and FileStore location.

In case configuration files contain incorrect data (FileStore location, Server names, etc.), Esko always recommends a reinstall of WebCenter, this time providing the correct details during the installation. Modifying configuration files afterwards is not supported.

Adding MIME Types in IIS 6

In case you are using IIS 6, you need to manually install a few new MIME types:
  1. On the Web Server, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. Open Default Web Site Properties > HTTP Headers > MIME Types.
  3. Please make sure the following MIME types are installed:

Extension

.dae

application/collada+xml
