KB97880544: Automation Engine - Why does the Create Bleed function change the CMYK values of my image

Question

When using Create Bleed on an image, why are the CMYK values of the bleed different from the original image values?

Check if the image is RGB or ICC color.

When we "clone" to create bleed, we use the trapping technology and here a conversion is done from RGB to CMYK.

This is not the case if Mirror mode is used, since this option does not make any conversion.

Mirror option is available from Automation Engine 12.2 onwards.
