This article describes what to do when the proof task (Proof (FlexProof) or Proof (Pack Proof)) fails with the error message: "Connect raw://xxx.xxx.xx.xx:9100".
Note that this can happen when there is something wrong with the network or when the Epson 4900 is in sleeping mode. This article describes a solution for the latter. Contact Esko support if this error message is related to the network (in other words if this KB doesn't help or when you're using another proofer model).
The first job fails with this error message, the next ones don't fail anymore because by then the proofer is awakened.
Turn off the sleep as explained on page 49 of the User's Guide (Turning off the power using power management):
