This Knowledge Base Article gives you additional information on the standard installation of Cape Pack (Cape).
When installing Cape onto a CITRIX/Terminal servers, there are a couple of things which you need to keep in mind to make sure that your Cape program will run as it should.
In the first part we will describe how to install Cape Pack on the server itself. Afterwards we will see what needs to be done to enable Cape Pack on the client side of the CITRIX/Terminal server System.
You have two options for installing Cape Pack
If you choose the Install Imperial Version, you will have a choice between English (US) or Spanish with inches/pounds measurements as default, and with the North American Compression Strength program. If you choose this option, you can switch to one of the other program languages after installation. You can also setup your program groups to work in metric as default.
If you choose the Install Metric Version, you can choose which language to install with (English (UK), Spanish, French, German or Swedish), but the program will install using Metric units of measure and the European Compression Strength Program.
Whichever version you choose to install, the options are similar. These instructions demonstrate the Imperial version.
Run the installation file which can be found on your software DVD or which you have downloaded from your My Software page. The installation wizard will start up.

Special Notes: For CITRIX/Terminal Server setup
Both Central location and Client/Server setup are valid choices. Depends on how you want Cape Pack setup. Both have their different uses. If a company wants to use the CITRIX/Terminal server as a Cape Pack client then "Client/Server" setup must to be chosen. In this implementation Cape Pack folder would be located on another application server then each of the CITRIX servers will be setup as a Cape Pack client by running "Client.exe" from each of the CITRIX servers, see "Further Citrix/Terminal Server Setup instructions" notes below.
On the other hand, if CITRIX server serves as the terminal server as well as the application client then "Central Location" setup is recommended. Though "Client/Server" setup will work too.
This screen allows you to choose your Setup Type, the Pallet Styles you want to install and the Program Language you prefer.
Select Central Location Setup for a full network installation or a PC installation. Select Client/Server Setup to install licensing and common files to the network and the main program files to your hard drive. Make your choice and click OK.
Choose European Pallet Base Styles, American Pallet Base Styles or Both.
Select Program Language.

Further Citrix/Terminal Server Setup instructions:
Before you publish an application, first the administrator must setup the CITRIX/Terminal server with Cape Pack run-time dependencies. This is carried out by running "client.exe" located in the cape pack folder. "client.exe" must be executed, for CITRIX systems, in "Install" mode instead of "Execute" mode. Secondly, it is best if "client.exe" is executed using the "Local administrator" profile or the default profile for this CITRIX/Terminal server. This last stage is necessary so that all other profiles that log into this CITRIX/Terminal server to use Cape Pack will inherit Cape Pack run-time dependencies from HKLM. When the last step is not done properly, what you would observe is one user runs Cape Pack properly because it has run client.exe and only its HKCU is populated with the Cape Pack run-time dependencies whilst other users including domain admin and other users with local administrator rights will throw various Run-Time errors suggesting that Cape Pack run-time dependencies are missing.
Once the Cape Pack client (CITRIX/Terminal Server) is setup with Cape Pack run-time dependencies, you can now publish Cape Pack application. The gateway program is "cmenu32.exe"
