Summary

When you launch Plato > go to File > Open Layout, the following dialogue pops up:

"Do you want to save the changes you made to “untitled"?".

Preferences window cannot be opened as well.

Symptoms

  1. Plato asks to save the file untitled when creating a new file.
  2. Preferences window can not be opened.
  3. The vdtl shell gives information about the tmclientbltin.dll not being loaded.

Solution

The problem comes from the antivirus, it removes the ICUUC.dll file from the bg_prog_Packedge_v1xx > bin_ix86 folder. The antivirus recognizes this file as a virus and places this file in quarantine.

The solution is to configure the antivirus to either exclude the Esko tree from the scan or just the ICUUC.dll.
