Summary

DWG/DXF import filter option Generate new dimension text always is not working (all versions, tested up to version 16.1).

Symptoms

A DXF file can be created with a scale factor.

When importing using the 3rd party libraries (DWG/DXF import), with the option to generate new dimension text, it opens showing the original size.
It is not generating the new text to show the scaled size.

Import using the legacy ArtiosCAD import filter (DXF import) is working correctly.

Solution

Currently this issue is under investigation by RND.

Workaround

  1. Remove the text in the properties window of the dimension. The value will be recalculated.
  2. In the default Dimension Format Override tab check the Warning if design contains rounded dimensions option.

Opening the DXF will show the Rounded dimensions warning.

Note

An incorrect modification of values and parameters in the ArtiosCAD Defaults can cause critical problems that might lead to severe problems in the correct functioning of the program. Esko cannot guarantee the proper working of your ArtiosCAD installation due to an incorrect handling of parameters and settings. A reinstall might be mandatory in order to restore the original system state. For this reason, Esko recommends that you take regular backups of the ServerLib (Shared Defaults) folder, the database and the FileStore.

Please contact your local Esko Support team in case you need more advice related to backups.
