Summary

The Job Creation JDF creates a Job correctly, but the Job Categories are not filled in (or even another value is filled in).

Symptoms

After upgrading to Automation Engine 16.0.1 or 16.0.2, a Job Creation JDF creates a Job correctly, but the Job Category values are taken from the Job template (mostly empty) instead of the JDF.

This behaviour is triggered every time the JDF Setup window is opened with a Template Job selected, even when nothing is changed or re-saved.

There is a new option "Categories" which is selected but greyed out.

Solution

For the default JDF Setup > Template settings, the issue is fixed in Automation Engine 16.0.2.

For particular option combinations (for example, only "Folders" enabled), the issue still persists in 16.0.2.

For all JDF Setup > Template settings, the issue is fixed in Automation Engine 16.0.2.

Workaround

Restart the JDFServer on the Automation Engine server by ending the java.exe process of the JDFServer in Task Manager.

You might need to add the Command Line column under View > Select columns..., to see this.
