KB295704931: MediaBeacon - WAV Files Cannot Be Played Because of "Unsupported Audio Type or Invalid File Path"

Issue 

Upon attempting to play a WAV file in MediaBeacon's View components (previously widgets) or Asset View, users may receive the following error message: “Unsupported audio type or invalid file path."

This is due to Internet Explorer 9 (IE9 and above) being unable to play PCM-encoded WAV format files. Internet Explorer does not support PCM-encoded WAV audio. For reference, please refer to the following link, which contains a chart detailing “Browser Capability” with specific file types.

Workaround

Convert WAV files to a format that is compatible with Internet Explorer or use a different browser (such as Google Chrome) to open it.
