KB255134793: Esko Data Exchange for Adobe® Illustrator® - Missing layers & objects in ARD file

Summary

Layers and/or objects created in the ARD file are missing.

Symptoms

When placing an ARD file in Adobe^® Illustrator^® with the Data Exchange plug-in installed, layers and/or objects are missing. These same layers and/or objects import as expected when using an earlier version of the plug-in.

Solution

There was a functionality change to the plug-in in version 18.1. Anything colored with a CMYK in ArtiosCAD is no longer honored.

Workaround

Open the ARD file in ArtiosCAD and change everything that is expected to show in the ARD file when placed in Adobe^® Illustrator^®, to a spot color or line type.
