Summary

“Save as” doesn’t save the file on the Database, only when clicking on resources will the file be placed on the Database.

Symptoms

When saving a file, its not automatically saved to the Database.

Check the Oneup Database Information to see where the file is saved to.

Solution

Check in the datacenter admin to see where ArtiosCAD is looking to apply files to the database. 

There is a few places where ArtiosCAD can set a default path when doing a file save and file open. 

Method 1:

Run a modify on the ArtiosCAD installation and change the User File Folder path. 

Method 2:

Change the "Start in" path on the ArtiosCAD shortcut to a path that the datacenter admin is looking for to apply drawings to the database.

Note

An incorrect modification of values and parameters in the ArtiosCAD Defaults can cause critical problems that might lead to severe problems in the correct functioning of the program. Esko cannot guarantee the proper working of your ArtiosCAD installation due to an incorrect handling of parameters and settings. A reinstall might be mandatory in order to restore the original system state. For this reason, Esko recommends that you take regular backups of the ServerLib (Shared Defaults) folder, the database and the FileStore.
