KB73058305: ArtiosCAD - PDF Import/ Export function is not working

Summary

Though the license is activated, the PDF function is not working and you are unable to import or export PDF file formats from the ArtiosCAD.

Symptoms

The following error appears in the ArtiosCAD: "Unable to create the PDF consumer. The PDF libraries may not be installed".

Solution

• Make a backup of the ServerLib folder in case this is a standalone ArtiosCAD installation, the "Modify" installation process might overwrite the Shared Defaults!
• Insert the ArtiosCAD installation media and follow the steps given below:
  • In the Esko ArtiosCAD setup window, click Modify Esko ArtiosCAD xx.x.xxen to start the InstallShield Wizard.
  • Click Modify in the Program Maintenance window and click the Next button to reach Feature Selection window.
  • Expand the folder Esko ArtiosCAD Programs. Check if the PDF Import/Export is marked X.
  • In the PDF Import/Export drop down list, select the This Feature will be installed on local hard drive option and click the Next button to proceed with the installation.

The above modify installation process will enable the PDF Import/Export functionality on ArtiosCAD.
