Summary

With a file open in Plato or PackEdge, Launch Workflow is grayed out.

Symptoms

In Plato or PackEdge, when you open a file and try to go to File > Launch Workflow, it is grayed out and cannot be selected.

Solution

The file you have opened must be saved inside of an Automation Engine container.

If the file is in an Automation Engine container:

  1. In Plato or PackEdge, go to Edit > Preferences.
  2. Click the Server and Resources tab.
  3. Check to make sure that the name of your Automation Engine Server is entered.
