Symptoms

This error message appears when the Automation Engine Viewer is launched. "Error receiving image of file ... Preview generation failed: Cannot get preview data because:"

Number of streaming sessions

When the number of streaming sessions set in Automation Engine server are already occupied by Automation Engine clients, you will see the above error message.

Viewer sessions are set to 4 by default. You can increase the streaming sessions as much as you want but you will have to consider your hardware configuration before increasing viewer session.

Solution

Follow the steps give below to increase or decrease the viewing session:

1. Logon to Automation Engine Server through browser (e.g: servername:9999).
2. Go to SERVER ADMIN > Server Setup.
3. Click the lock icon to unlock the page for editing.
4. Under the Processing Capabilities section, you can key in the viewer session. Enter the number of viewer sessions you need, in the Max. sessions: field and click Apply for it to take effect.
