KB73059650: Automation Engine - PANTONE+ libraries in Automation Engine 12

Introduction

PANTONE+ is a new set of conventional Ink Books, containing 1379 inks. It replaces the old PANTONE books which contain 1138 inks.
Changes include:

A different number of colors.
Different Lab values for Individual colors.

PANTONE+ was introduced in Suite 10 assembly 5:

In Suite 10, the installation of PANTONE+ books was optional. It only required an extra step in the installation.
In Suite 12, the PANTONE+ books are installed by default, following the Adobe^® CS6 policy.

Do not confuse PANTONE+ with PantoneLIVE!

PantoneLIVE is a set of Ink Books which are loaded from the PantoneLIVE server in the cloud. These Ink Books are only accessible if you have an XRite subscription.
In Suite 12 assembly 1, PantoneLIVE is in beta state.

Rolling back

PANTONE+ has become the industry standard. Therefore, we do not recommend to roll back to the Suite 10 libraries.

However, rolling back is possible:

Rollback for...	Follow the steps given below
Version 12.0.x	Go to the Suite 12 Engines DVD. Go to the Software Installation tab. Click Install the Pantone Suite 10 libraries in the color engine.
Version 12.1	Go to the Suite 12.1 Engines DVD. Go to the Advanced tab. Click Install the Pantone Suite 10 libraries in the color engine.
