Summary
Unable to install SQL Server 2012 Express with Windows 7 Professional.
Symptoms
Error message as shown in the screenshot below appears while installing SQL Server 2012 Express:
Solution
Change the Region and Language settings. To change, do the following:
- Go to Control Panel > Region and Language. This opens the Region and Language window.
- In the Formats tab, set the Format: to (System language).
- In the Administrative Tab, set the Current language to English (United States) (applies to language for non-unicode programs).
