"Preflight with PitStop" Task

Following table lists which version of Enfocus PitStop is used internally in the "Preflight with PitStop" task:

New PitStop profiles or action lists are by preference created with the Automation Engine PitStop Profile Editor tool, downloadable from the Automation Engine Client Applications web page. Smart Preflight is supported in this way.

Alternatively, they can be created in PitStop Pro, provided it is of the same or a lower version as the version used in Automation Engine. Smart Preflight however cannot be used in this case.
It is not recommend to use this way of creating PitStop profiles or action lists in general, but it can be necessary in exceptional cases (f.i. if you need a PDF file to be open to use a font or color picker, or to grab a sample).

"Preflight via External Application" Task (outdated as of AE 18.0)
