Installation of ArtiosCAD terminates with the error "Cannot connect to the ArtiosCAD database server on the system...".
When Modifying/ Repair or installing ArtiosCAD, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot connect to the ArtiosCAD database server on the system
EAW12VM723. Please verify that the database server software is
running and that the ArtiosCAD ODBC entry is correctly configured.
The ArtiosCAD database will not be built or updated. Please correct the
problem and run a Modify ArtiosCAD install to build or update the
database or contact Esko Customer Service.
The most common cause of the error is due to denied Read and Write access to the user.
Go to the Esko folder Properties.
Click the Security tab.
Click the Users and check if Read and Write permissions are allowed. If not, Edit the settings and allow the Read and Write permissions for the Users to fix this issue.
