When trying to export to 3D Step or Iges file using the "Solidworks 3D" output, a licensing error appears even though there is a 2D drafting to 3D modeling, 3D drafting to 3D modeling or 3D Data Exchange license applied on the workstation.
Solution
The Solidworks 3D output refers to an old licensing checkbit for a Solidworks export that is no longer provided by Esko. The 2D drafting to 3D modeling module works for the outputs named 3D Export - Step and 3D Export - IGES only. To be sure that the modules work, upgrade to ArtiosCAD 12.0.10 where those outputs were introduced.
Effectively, ArtiosCAD cannot output to Solidworks or Iges or Pro E via the Solidworks 3D output unless a previous version of ArtiosCAD prior to version 12 has been installed with the Solidworks engine.
The user must export to the new 3D outputs mentioned above.
