Description

Producing milling jobs with Tool Diameter Compensation without registration marks often gives you this message after you click RUN in Production Manager (click to enlarge).

i-cut relates to the ruler seen in curve view. If the job is located at 0/0 and a tool diameter is defined, it is seen as a negative coordinate when sent for production.

Procedure

In the picture below, you can see that the tool path preview (grey line) goes outside the ruler. This is because the job is located at 0/0:

(click picture to enlarge)

  1. Select all curves using the CTRL+A keys in the keyboard and enter the Edit tab.
  2. Select Move.
    (click picture to enlarge)
  3. If a 5mm bit is defined, you need to move the design more than this in X&Y direction. Make sure that the Lower left of curves check box is selected.
  4. Click OK.

The amount you move the design does not change the offset from your reference point.
