Summary

Nexus tasks fail with the message "Activity waiting for disk space".

But when you look on the disk drive where Nexus is installed, there is a lot of free space left.

Symptoms

Nexus tasks fail with the message "Activity waiting for disk space".

However, on the disk drive where Nexus is installed, there is a lot of free space left.

The drive where Nexus is installed, is not the drive which contains the operating system. The drive which contains the operating system, is almost full.

Reboot of the Nexus server does not solve the problem.

Solution

Check which files on the drive with the operating system (Windows or Mac) on the Nexus Server take up the disk space and remove files which are not needed, to make more space. Make sure that the files are not needed for any other process.

Workaround

Alternatively you might want to change the path of the jobs folder to another location.

  1. Open Nexus Manager.
  2. Go to Server > Edit Volume and change the path of the jobs folder.
  3. You can use Server > Monitor Volume to see how much space is left.
