KB94275113: DeskPack WebCenter Connector - "Error rendering job" message appears in case of externally linked images

Summary

Document fails to Check and Register when using the Export to WebCenter feature of the WebCenter Connector plugin in Adobe^® Illustrator^®.

Symptoms

When checking the WebCenter Task Details from the Document's Action History, WebCenter reports the following (or similar) message:

Image file <YourImage.tif> not found
Page Not Found
Error rendering job <\\supportwc1\Filestore\documents\000000\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.pdf>. Job canceled.

Solution

The WebCenter Connector is currently not able to embed externally linked images when exporting to WebCenter.

Please embed linked images into the Adobe^® Illustrator^® document before using the Export to WebCenter option.
